Youssef Hits A Four!

Youssef Nemmaoui, who lives in Wrexham, is celebrating 4 years at award-winning Wrexham Volkswagen and believes that although he went to college to study electrical engineering, he’s found the perfect career as a Sales Executive.

Youssef explained, “I studied electrical engineering thinking that was what I wanted to do, but took a part time job selling mobile phones and realised that because I’m naturally interested in people and outgoing I was pretty good at selling”!

“I realised I enjoyed Sales, so I decided to look for a career where I could do what I’d found I was good at and saw that Wrexham Volkswagen had a vacancy for a Trainee Sales Executive. I went for the job and I got it! That was 4 years ago now and I’ve never looked back”, added Youssef!

The dealership, run by family-owned Swansway Motor Group, was named as the top VW dealership in the UK in 2018 and won the AM Award for Best Dealership in the UK in 2019, “All down to me of course”, laughed Youssef.

“I got to go the awards ceremony which was brilliant and though I know It sounds cheesy I love working at Wrexham, I don’t see the team here as work colleagues, they’re my friends and we spend a lot of time together outside work.

“I’m now Motability accredited, which means I can really help people who are entitled to a car on the scheme and that’s something which makes me feel good.

“I would say to all young people who are not sure what they want to do, give different jobs a go, you’ll find something you enjoy and which you’re good at; I know I did and I’ve never looked back”, added Youssef.
