UKFast Ranks Amongst UK’s Best Places to Work
Cloud hosting firm UKFast has retained its position amongst the UK’s best places to work, placing 8th in the Great Place to Work list of Best Workplaces (Large).
Well known for its unique office space and commitment to training, UKFast is a regular feature of the Best Workplaces list.
UKFast Campus, on the edge of Manchester Science Park, is equipped with an onsite gym, steam room, crèche, sleeping pods and a dedicated training and education space. The firm’s bring your pet to work policy sees canine colleagues accompanying the UKFast team to work every day.
UKFast’s commitment to training and education both within the business and in the wider community has also gained plaudits for the firm.
UKFast CEO Lawrence Jones MBE said: “We’ve invested in an amazing office space and fun perks for our team for years, but it’s clear that what really matters to people is the opportunity to learn and develop in their careers.
“We’ve taken on a team of full-time teachers with the view that, in the long-term, people are more satisfied and more motivated by developing and learning than by financial gain. It has altered the way we approach everything we do.”
Compiled using anonymous employee feedback, Great Place to Work recognises organisations promoting a healthy workplace culture through trust, pride and camaraderie.
Jones added: “Whilst it’s always an honour to receive any award or accolade, this one is particularly special because it comes from the team itself.
“The whole process helps us to continually improve as a business because, whilst it is all completely anonymous, we do get some top-level feedback that tells us what is working and what isn’t. The team are asked everything from how they work with their manager to how tired they feel come the end of each day.
“Thanks to the whole UKFast team for once again contributing to us becoming one of the country’s greatest workplaces. Here’s to hitting the number one spot next year!”
UKFast is a Manchester-based cloud hosting business, providing cloud and dedicated server solutions to thousands of UK organisations. The firm employs more than 350 people.
