High Five for Holly!

Digital Marketing Executive, Holly Bailey, lives in Biddulph and works for Crewe-based Swansway Motor Group in the Head Office Marketing team and she’s celebrating 5 years at the award-winning motor retailer.

And what a family; Holly’s mum Joanne is Swansway Group Financial Controller and her cousin, Beth, also works in the Marketing Team as a Database Executive.

Holly commented, “I went to Uni to do a Fashion degree, but by the end of the course I knew it really wasn’t my thing. My mum told me that Swansway had a temporary post helping out with content for the website, so I applied, had my interview and got the job!”

“It was only temporary, but I found I loved working in Marketing, so when a full-time role came up I went for it. I’m now a Digital Marketing Executive, which means I look after our online presence, on our website, on social media and in our digital communications to our customers.”

“I straight away loved it and enrolled on a 12-month course from the Institute of Digital Marketing, I passed too and found a real love for all things digital. There’s a lot of jargon involved, but really it falls into two parts, great content which engages real people and the SEO – Search Engine Optimisation - side of it, trying to make sure you climb the Google rankings, so we’re seen before our competitors”.

As a family-owned business, which rewards hard work, Holly feels she has plenty of opportunity to grow in her role, “I really love my job and, in the future, I’d like to see myself as Head of Digital Marketing; that’s my goal. I’d definitely recommend a career in Marketing it you like a real variety of work and want to be super-busy every day”, added Holly.

When Holly’s not at work she’s a very busy mum, “I have a very energetic toddler, William, who’s going through the terrible twos, and I’m getting married later this year, so I’m juggling a lot at the moment”!

“These 5 years have gone by in a flash and I’m looking forward to what comes next”, added Holly.
