Open House to help manufacturers ‘Brexit Proof’ their businesses
‘Brexit proofing’ your manufacturing business will be the main focus of the next In-Comm Training and Manufacturing Group (TMG) Open House later this month (May 21st).
Bosses from the region’s industrial sector will have the unique opportunity to hear from FBC Manby Bowdler’s Peter Wilding, the man who famously invented the word ‘Brexit’. He will talk about the challenges facing companies and explore issues, such as importing and exporting, tariffs, compliance and employment.
Delegates to the Open House will also be able to tour In-Comm Training’s state-of-the-art Technical Academy in Aldridge, which features over £3m of the latest manufacturing technology.
“There continues to be a lot of uncertainty around Brexit and the implications this will have on UK businesses. We are hearing that many are suspending plans to grow their workforce, cutting back on investment and feel unprepared for the challenges which lie ahead,” explained Peter Wilding, Brexit Director at FBC Manby Bowdler.
“However, with the right expertise and knowledge there are many things companies can be doing to put themselves ahead of the game. During recent months, we have been working with industry to advise it on how to plan for Brexit, as well as supporting it with some of the complex administration tasks it is facing.
“This Open House will be another opportunity for us to share our expert knowledge and assist as many manufacturers across the area as we can during these uncertain times.”
