Taylor&Emmet promotes two new equity partners

Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet LLP has welcomed two experienced solicitors into its most senior ranks

Clinical negligence and contentious probate specialists, Paul Fouad and Alex Watkinson, have become the latest experts to join the firm’s equity partnership.

Former Taylor&Emmet trainee, Paul Fouad, qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and was offered a position in the clinical negligence team. He was subsequently promoted to associate in 2011 and became a partner two years later. Not only is Paul highly respected in his field, but he is also the firm’s training principal, mentoring its solicitors of the future.

Relative newcomer, Alex Watkinson, joined Taylor&Emmet in 2015 to head up its new contentious probate department. He has made a significant impact in a short space of time, creating a highly successful niche team of seven, which enjoys an excellent reputation within the region and beyond.

Neil Riley, one of Taylor&Emmet’s management board members, said: “Paul and Alex are excellent solicitors who have demonstrated the highest levels of commitment to the firm and its continuing success. They bring a great deal of experience to our equity partnership and will be a valuable addition to our decision-making team.”

Taylor&Emmet has also promoted licensed conveyancer, Stacey Crane, to associate. The residential property specialist qualified in 2007, whilst working at the firm and is currently heading up the conveyancing department at its new Rotherham office.
