Global workspace specialist expands UK footprint with easyHotel let

Global flexible workspace provider Knotel has expanded its UK offering by completing a deal to let office space above London’s newly refurbished flagship easyHotel.

All of the air-conditioned units on the upper floors of the property at 80 Old Street have been pre-let to the office operator on a ten-year FRI (fully repairing and insuring) lease, with easyHotel’s refurbished 89-bedroom hotel due to open across the ground, first and second floors of the building in June.

Guy Parsons, chief executive of easyHotel commented: “With the office space now let and the newly refurbished hotel on track to open in June, both ahead of plan, we continue to be very pleased with the outcome of the redevelopment programme at Old Street.

With over 3 million sq ft of workspace across 200 locations around the world including New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sao Paolo, and Berlin, Knotel hopes that the Old Street let will support its ongoing growth in the UK.

Tom Dugarin, UK general manager of Knotel added: “Knotel continues its rapid London expansion with 80 Old Street, taking our total UK footprint to approximately 240,000 sq ft across 18 locations.
