Leeds City Council puts development land up for online auction
Leeds City Council has instructed digital property auctioneer BidX1 to sell a green field site in its next online auction on July 24.
The site, located at Grange Farm in the village of Colton on the eastern outskirts of Leeds, will be listed.
The lot, comprising of an L-shaped area of grazing land covering approximately 0.57 acres, currently houses storage buildings, with open fields on one side and forms part of the adjoining Grange Farm equestrian centre.
Simon Riggall, director at BidX1, said: “The listing of the land at Grange Farm on the BidX1 digital platform will provide an opportunity to find the right buyer for the beautifully situated site.
“The attractive and historic Colton village provides the perfect location for someone looking to enhance an area of land within a conservation area.”
The land fronts Park Road in the heart of the old village and is situated within the Colton conservation area.
The local planning authority has indicated the site could suit a courtyard scheme of five dwellings, subject to consent.
