Educational platform expands with new North East software team

A Cambridge based education software firm has expanded into the region by setting up a new team in the centre of Newcastle.

Hyperspheric Solutions, the company behind educational platform GO 4 Schools, has installed a team of software developers in offices at The Pearl workspace on New Bridge Street West.

Launched in 2010, the GO 4 Schools platform specialises in providing real-time attendance data, behaviour information and assessment results, and is currently used in over 350 schools across the country.

The company’s ambition to build on its 20 per cent year-on-year growth has led to its investment in the new North East team alongside its Cambridge base.

Jonathan Brenchley, Hyperspheric Solutions’ managing director and founder, who is originally from the region, commented: “This is the start of an exciting new chapter for us. We’ve been fortunate in being able to attract some of the North East’s strongest technical people to the team.

“I’ve always been proud of my links to the area and it is great to be in The Pearl which is one of the most prestigious buildings in the region. Being so close to Grey’s Monument – its location is perfect.”

Lewis Jackson, I.T. manager, added: “The GO 4 Schools business provides a best-in-class technology for schools throughout the UK.

“We plan to capitalise on this by tapping into the incredible tech presence here in the North East.”
