1960s office block to be transformed thanks to six-figure investment
A Darlington office building is set to be transformed following a six-figure investment by owners Kans and Kandy Properties to refurbish the property.
Situated on Woodland Road, Forsyth House has been an established office building in the town since its original construction in the 1960s.
The project, managed by chartered surveyor Silverstone Building Consultancy, will see the three storey building undergo a full refurbishment.
Formerly a Regus centre, the ground and first floor of the property is currently occupied by NHS and Bupa Dental, with the top floors housing serviced offices ranging from 300 to 1500 sq ft.
Peter Razaq, director of Kans and Kandy commented: “This property is in a great location with Darlington town centre lying just 100 metres to the east providing excellent amenities for occupiers.
“I am confident the proposed works will vastly improve the building’s attractiveness to the market as well as creating a better place to work for the existing occupiers.”
Ben Hunter, director at Silverstone Building Consultancy added: “We are delighted to have been instructed on this refurbishment project.
“The investment in the premises will not only lower the building’s U-Value by reducing the level of heat loss, but it will also transform it from a dated 60s building to more modern, desirable office space which will be aesthetically much more appealing to current and future occupiers.”
