Best Western Adds Stonecross Manor in Kendal to its portfolio
Best Western Great Britain has announced the arrival of Stonecross Manor Hotel in Kendal to its Signature Collection – growing the business’ portfolio to over 260 independent hotels.
The hotel is situated on the outskirts of the Lake District, in the market town of Kendal. The privately-owned property, which was originally an orphanage in the 1850s, is now a 32-bedroomed premium hotel, pool and spa.
It is located just ten minutes from the M6, and less than three hours from London. The hotel is perfect for leisure breaks to the countryside and corporate stays with character. For outdoor enthusiasts, the hotel is an ideal base from which to visit two of England’s National Parks: the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales.
As a Best Western Great Britain hotel, Stonecross Manor Hotel has access to a range of tools and expertise to support driving tourism to the local area.
Helen Clark, General Manager of Stonecross Manor Hotel, said: “We are delighted to be part of the Best Western family of brands. We are a proudly independently operated hotel, so Best Western is a great choice for us. We’re excited to see what the future holds now we are part of a 260-strong family of independently-owned hotels across the country.”
Rob Paterson, CEO at Best Western Great Britain, added: “We couldn’t be prouder to welcome Stonecross Manor Hotel to our portfolio of properties. Best Western now has brands to suit every guest, from economy to luxury, across over 260 locations in the UK. We look forward to working in partnership with the team at the Stonecross Manor Hotel and to showcase and celebrate their hotel both locally and nationally.”
