Franchise Success Just Keeps Coming for Platinum Wave
What a year it has been for Suzie McCafferty and Edinburgh-based Platinum Wave. In the last 12 months they have worked with over 25 brands on everything from franchising their business, to improving franchisee performance, to recruiting great franchisees and international expansion… Suzie even found time to have a baby as well!
McCafferty, who was recently crowned EWIF (Encouraging Women into Franchising) Service Provider of the Year for 2019, is regarded as one of the premier franchise experts in the UK and internationally and has helped many people bolster their careers, reputations or businesses within franchising. Suzie is a former international franchisor who took her own Scottish retail business to 70 outlets in 6 countries. McCafferty also built up a £30m recruitment agency franchise network, and is the long-standing chairperson of the Scottish Franchise Forum.
Having prior experience as a franchisor gives McCafferty a unique insight into running a franchise, which has benefited the 25 brands the team worked with throughout 2018, including German Doner Kebab and Premier Education Group. The company also hosted several franchising seminars throughout the year, sharing their knowledge and experience to help others enter franchising safely and ethically.
In 2018 Platinum Wave also launched its sister recruitment company, Franchise Moves, dedicated to placing franchise professionals with great brands, and Suzie takes great delight in personally mentoring some of the rising professional stars within franchising.
“It’s been quite a year and I am obviously delighted to be named EWIF Service provider of the year for 2019,” explains McCafferty.
“We are renowned throughout the franchise world for the excellent service we provide. This does not simply happen overnight, all the Platinum Wave team work around the clock to ensure we deliver for each client, with our ethos very much service over sales and going that extra mile.”
