Three new roles created at North East mortgage firm

A North East mortgage broker has created three new job roles as part of its expansion in the region.

First Mortgage NE has grown from 25 to 33 members of staff since the beginning of the year, with the latest recruits taking first of their kind positions with the company across its locations including Gateshead, Newcastle, Sunderland and Chester-le-Street.

Mark Baty joins as operations and marketing director. He will manage the teams across the company’s eight locations. Leading a tactical marketing strategy is another area of focus for Mark, to continue to grow the business in line with its target markets.

Area sales manager Richard Tonks will oversee sales, operations and training. He brings experience from a similar role as well as positions in personal banking and mortgage advice.

Kieran Megran takes the role of protection advisor and will work with clients seeking both business and personal policies.

Mark said: “I’ve joined a growing and ambitious company with a fantastic reputation in the region. It is the best at what it does and who doesn’t want to work for the best?

“Not only will I have the opportunity to shape my role, I’ll also play a big part in the development of our team and marketing of the business which is a chance to be really creative.”

One of the company’s directors, Phil McGuire, added: “It’s always a great feeling to see our team grow, especially with new roles as we expand our offering.
