Training provider unveils new brand as it looks to the future
Liverpool based Alder Training has unveiled that it has changed its name to The Learning Foundry and revealed a new brand identity.
The exciting announcement comes on the back of a year of growth for the socially driven training provider, with The Learning Foundry also set to move into a new city centre campus.
The Learning Foundry appointed Liverpool based agency Agent to design and develop the new brand.
Agent’s brief was to develop a brand that successfully expresses The Learning Foundry’s dynamic, collaborative and ambitious approach to learning. The logo has been designed to reflect the brand’s heritage, while the range of colours add vibrancy, energy and excitement.
Joanne Abraham, Managing Director of The Learning Foundry, said: “Since joining The Regenda Group, The Learning Foundry has gone through a real transformational change and we decided that we needed a name and brand that reflected that.
“We now have an expansive high-quality training offer and we have decided to move into the city centre to better meet the needs of our learners and the businesses we work with.
“Our full-service approach to working with employers of all sizes and sectors from across the region makes the recruitment and upskilling of staff simple and hassle free. The new city centre office will allow us to expand this offering while we continue to work closely with our partners.
“This new beginning builds on our experience and passion for transforming the lives of people across the city region and making talent shine. We have had a fantastic 25 years as Alder Training, and we are excited for the next 25 years and more as The Learning Foundry.”
Jon Cooper, Graphic Designer at Agent, said: “The Learning Foundry’s new brand provided a fantastic opportunity to visualise the progressive and multifaceted nature of its course portfolio.
“It was important that the brand matched the new state of the art premises, demonstrating the exciting times ahead for the company and its prospective learners.
“In line with our rebrand process, we worked collaboratively with the team at The Learning Foundry to push the brand visually, bridging the gap between education and experience.”
The new name is inspired by the historic Foundry buildings on Henry Street, an area of regeneration for Liverpool and was devised following a careful process which included staff, learners, employers and other stakeholders. The Learning Foundry name also reflects the organisation’s core purpose of regenerating places to create opportunities for people.
The Learning Foundry offers a wide range of qualifications including a range of training options for businesses, including accredited housing apprenticeships, business qualifications, traineeships and workforce development options such as customer service training and leadership and management qualifications.
As part of its expansion, The Learning Foundry has also made a number of new appointments. Kellie Lynch has joined the organisation’s specialist commercial team from St Helens Chamber and will be working with new and existing partner businesses to help them make the most of their apprenticeship levy through bespoke training courses.
