A cut above the rest! Barratt Developments scoops 84 wins at Pride in the Job Quality Awards

Barratt Developments Yorkshire East and West, which includes the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands, is celebrating five of its employees who have been named the best in the country at this year’s Pride in the Job Quality Awards.

Ben Waines, Senior Site Manager at Saxon Gate in Stamford Bridge, Paul Dearnley, Senior Site Manager at Tranby Fields in Hessle, Martin Thorley, Project Manager at The Chocolate Works in York, Ricky Booth, Site Manager at Ashmeade Park in Pontefract and Andy Briddock, Site Manager at St Oswald’s View in Methley, were five of the 84 recognised by the National House Building Council (NHBC) for their hard work and commitment to their jobs. The award is the highest accolade an employee can achieve, with 450 winners being chosen from over 16,000 entrants who were judged on consistency, attention to detail, leadership, technical expertise and health and safety.

Known as the “Oscars of the housebuilding industry”, the awards recognise the most efficiently run sites across the country, with Barratt Developments’ employees across the country scooping 84 Pride in the Job Quality Awards at this year’s event, more than any other national housebuilder for the 15th year in a row.

Daniel Smith, Managing Director at Barratt Developments, Yorkshire East commented: “These awards acknowledge the quality of homes that we are building as well as the efficiency of our sites, something that is of utmost importance to first time and prospective buyers. We will look forward to seeing more high-quality homes being built in through 2019, and beyond!”

Ian Ruthven, Managing Director of Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, commented: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won 84 awards at this year’s Pride in the Job Quality Awards, and to have won more awards than any other housebuilder for 15 years in a row! We are incredibly proud of all of our employees! “

These awards come shortly after the announcement of the Housebuilder receiving five stars from the Home Builders Federation (HBF) for customer satisfaction for the tenth year in a row. For Barratt to be awarded five stars means that more than 90% of its customers would be happy to recommend their home to a friend.
