Fashion resale platform secures £1.4m investment for international growth

Premium fashion resale service Cudoni has secured backing from investors totalling £1.4m in new investment.

The £1.4m backing has come from a range of investors, including Daily Mail and General Trust, Charles Tyrwhitt founder Nick Wheeler, chairman of the Lawn Tennis Association Lord Mervyn Davies, Capital One founder Matt Cooper and CEO of Vita Coco Giles Brook.

The new investment will enable the firm to accelerate its expansion plans, supporting the brand’s growth on an international scale.

Established in 2015 by entrepreneur James Harford-Tyrer, Cudoni offers a service that allows users to resell their used fashion items including clothing, shoes and accessories as well as luggage and consumer electronics.

The platform has grown thanks to an increase in conscious consumerism and concerns around sustainability.

Speaking about the investment, founder James Harford-Tyrer commented: “It is fantastic to receive further backing from such esteemed business leaders at this pivotal stage of our journey.

“Their valued support and investment will allow us to continue our rapid expansion at a time when we are moving towards a more sustainable way of living and the resale industry is thriving.”
