Robots could replace 20 million manufacturing jobs in 10 years

According to the latest analysis from Oxford Economics, around 20 million global manufacturing jobs could be replaced entirely by robots by 2030.

Oxford Economics has called for action to prevent the damaging increase. It is said that for every new industrial robot, 1.6 manufacturing jobs are lost, and the regions with the least skills are mostly being affected.

Furthermore, workers who move from the manufacturing industry sometimes get new jobs in construction, maintenance or transport - and robots are said to be taking over the automation industries, too.

Twice as many jobs could be lost in lower-skilled regions due to robots being installed, which is becoming a growing danger throughout the UK.
