Prime Huddersfield Business Park now open for business

The pioneering £3m Bridge Business Park in Huddersfield is open for business. Award-winning West Yorkshire property company Frank Marshall Estates has developed the park speculatively, having bought the land from Mamas & Papas in 2015.

The 2.73 acre site is situated next to the headquarters of Mamas & Papas in Colne Bridge Road, just off the main A62 Leeds Road and close to Junction 25 of the M62.

Frank Marshall Estates is run by Edward and Jimmy Marshall and is a well-established real estate company with significant commercial assets across Yorkshire.

Edward Marshall commented: “The M62 corridor is now one of the hotspots for industrial property in West Yorkshire, providing swift access to both the East Coast and the West Coast ports, as well as linking into the UK’s superb motorway network. It’s logistics gold dust.

Already Sniffers Pet Care, a specialist Yorkshire pet food wholesaler and distributor, has taken 6,250 sq ft of quality light industrial space at Bridge Business Park. Sniffers, who are moving and expanding, have taken Units 5 and 6 at the brand-new park.

The company has signed a five-year lease.

Edward Marshall commented: “We look forward to welcoming other flourishing companies in the wake of Sniffers’ move. There is a good deal of interest in the remaining four units and we advise any prospective occupiers to come and take a look for themselves as soon as they can.

“This business park is an extremely significant project for us. We have created a high-quality employment park, which will create up to 100 jobs.

Mark Hanson of West Yorkshire property consultancy Walker Singleton, incorporating Hansons, who are marketing the site for Frank Marshall Estates, said: “Considerable interest has already been expressed by a number of prospective tenants for the site, which isn’t surprising given its winning combination of location and quality.”

Simon Brown of Sniffers added: “We are expanding rapidly, with growth up 25 per cent, year on year. We had outgrown our previous premises and our new home at the Bridge Business Park is ideal. The Bridge Business Park is situated to the west of, and with frontage to, Colne Bridge Road (B6118), just off the main A62 Leeds Road in an established industrial and warehousing location. Nearby occupiers including Mamas & Papas, VTL and CJ Antich. It is just 1.5 miles south of Junction 25 of the M62.
