Shoptimised upscales its South Tyneside office following international expansion
South Tyneside retail technology company, Shoptimised, is celebrating the expansion of its operations at home and abroad. The South Tyneside firm has moved into larger office space within One Trinity Green to accommodate its expanding workforce and to aid its ambition to grow in the USA.
Shoptimised’s office move comes a month after the firm launched its new crowd shopping platform across 16 countries last month. Its new platform, developed under the Google CSS Partner Scheme, features several million products and is open to both consumers and advertisers globally.
The firm, which provides product feed optimisation platforms and price comparison software, is looking to recruit eight new members of staff to expand its Sales Development Team and the number of its Client Services Account Managers.
With international expansion under its belt Shoptimised is now upscaling to develop its foot hold in the US in its second year so the firm can then move onto expanding its presence in the European market.
John Cave, co-founder of Shoptimised, said: “Moving to One Trinity Green has been a move, we’ve never regretted. It instantly felt like home and the support we received is well beyond our expectations. There is a real community atmosphere in the building and we’re so pleased to be part of that.
“We’re excited to take the next steps in our journey by moving into a larger office so we can really cement our growth plans and kick on in 2019.”
Within its first year Shoptimised, which is a key member of One Trinity Green’s thriving tech-hub, has beaten its targets by over 30% thanks to winning clients in 15 countries across the world. Since moving to the borough, in February 2018, Shoptimised has received support from South Tyneside Council.
John added: “The support from Invest South Tyneside has been excellent. From day one we’ve felt extremely well looked after. People often encourage us to go look elsewhere to expand but that’s not on the cards for us.”
Councillor John Anglin, Lead Member for Regeneration and Economy at South Tyneside Council, said: “Shoptimised is just going from strength to strength and we’re delighted that they’ve chosen to remain in One Trinity Green; it highlights how the space is flexible enough to not only be the ideal launch pad for new businesses but can easily accommodate expansion.
“One Trinity Green is rapidly developing into a vibrant community for digital and tech companies and more and more businesses with growth aspirations are choosing it as their premises.
“We’re proud of the centre; it represents our vision of business enterprise and excellence on a regional, national and international scale.”
