Insurance broker expands into Leeds with new merger
Wilby Insurance Brokers has boosted its regional presence by teaming with Leeds-based Lorica Insurance Brokers office.
The Lorica team now trades as Wilby, in Leeds, with immediate effect. Both Wilby and Lorica joined the PIB Group in 2018.
Richard Blackburn, Wilby’s managing director, said: “Following our decision to join PIB Group last year, there has been an obvious opportunity to join forces with the Lorica Leeds office.
“We’re delighted to retain the existing team and are keen to grow significantly the size of the business and are actively searching for quality individuals to join the team.
“The office will also allow us to provide a more local presence for the existing clients that Wilby have in Leeds.”
Wilby has a long-established presence in West Yorkshire, having been formed in Halifax more than 35 years ago. Specialisms include property, manufacturing, cyber, care, motor trade and holiday park insurance.
Mike added: “This is an exciting time and another important milestone in our journey.
“We’re looking forward to working together as one team while also ensuring that clients will still receive the same friendly and professional service they’ve come to expect from both brands.”
