National award for local talent specialists
Following several months of rapid growth, in which they’ve increased their workforce by 50%, Newcastle-based talent partners, SEAO, are thrilled to announce their success at the English Women’s Awards 2019.
SEAO’s Sam Wall and Laura Hodgson, joined over 200 guests at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, on Monday 1st July, in an exclusive celebration dedicated to the outstanding contribution of women to various industries and professions. As the only north east based small business in their category, SEAO Talent Partners joined seven other organisations in the race to be crowned winner of the annual National English Women’s Awards North.
Led by Sam Wall, her team of specialists at SEAO have transformed the face of recruitment for a growing list of clients. Delivering a socially inclusive and diverse talent pipeline with an innovative and creative perspective is what sets them aside, alongside a wealth of experience and desire to add value for their clients.

SEAO Founder and Recruitment Director, Sam Wall, said: “We were honoured to represent the region as the only north east based finalist in the Small Business of the Year category and to come home with the award was just incredible!
“Winning this accolade reflects our ambition to be recognised as an employer of choice, experienced in providing talent solutions to businesses embarking upon change. This includes internal talent propositions along with external client branded attraction campaigns to source the very best individuals for our partners.
“Inspiring the next generation of female leaders is so important to us – as strong role models both at work and at home, engaging and empowering the next generation of talented candidates and entrepreneurs is crucial to continue our recruitment revolution.” With a recruitment career spanning over 15 years, Sam has led and created large recruitment teams and managed many change programmes including mergers, acquisitions, financial buy outs and restructures.
Organised by Creative Oceanic, these awards identify inspirational, successful women from across the North of England who are influencing innovation and instigating change across an array of industries.
A Spokesperson for the English Women’s Awards 2019 said:
“We are delighted to have acknowledged successful women from across England who have managed to stand out among the rest in their profession. “It is a pleasure to see that empowered women, empower women and this memorable ceremony highlighted exactly that.
“The awards showcased examples of courage, passion, skill, commitment and success that every woman has, and we would like to congratulate all finalists and winners for their impeccable achievements.”
