New Gatwick Diamond logistics centre gets green light
Planning permission has been granted for a new industrial building between London and Brighton.
Located on the A23 corridor in the Gatwick Diamond, the CentrePoint facility at Burgess Hill will serve as a warehouse or a logistics centre.
The 50,200 sq ft building will comprise high bay industrial space along with 6,350 sq ft of office units.
In addition, the facility will have multiple loading doors, a secure yard and 69 car parking spaces.
West Sussex developer Hargreaves Group will construct the building, which has secured permission for 24-hour access for B1, B2 and B8 uses, on a pre-let basis.
Richard Andrew, managing director of Hargreaves Group, commented: “This is an exciting opportunity for an occupier to secure a prestigious new building with very high cubic capacity in a very accessible location within the South East region.
“The aim is to provide a high specification building at an attractive competitive rental, deliverable by our company who have a proven track record of delivering similar projects within a short time frame, having full planning permission, a professional team already in place and cash available to construct the project straight away.”
