Kirona approved as a G-Cloud 11 Framework supplier
Field service management specialist Kirona has been selected as an approved supplier for the G-Cloud 11 Framework. Kirona has been a supplier of mobile workforce scheduler software to government organisations for many years, and has been on the G-Cloud framework since the first iteration in 2012.
The G-Cloud framework is a procurement framework that enables public sector organisations to select and purchase Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and specialist Cloud services from approved suppliers. Kirona fits into the ‘cloud software’ category, as a supplier that provides applications that are accessed over the internet and hosted in the cloud.
The Government launched the framework to assist public sector organisations with the burden of working through time-consuming and tricky procurement processes, and instead pushing an agile, cloud way of working. “Buying services through frameworks is faster and cheaper than entering into individual procurement contracts”.
Organisations who successfully apply and are accepted onto the framework are added into the GOV Digital Marketplace allowing public sector organisations to both purchase services and capabilities directly in addition to tender invitations under a standardised contract framework.
Phil Crewe, Group Compliance Manager, stated; “We are delighted that we have been selected as an approved supplier for the latest G-Cloud Framework. We pride ourselves on being trusted providers to public sector organisations and being selected as an approved supplier means it’s easier for public sector organisations to purchase our field service management software.”
In the public sector, Kirona has a vast amount of customers who operate in both local & central government. Public sector organisations can purchase Kirona’s Mobile Workforce Scheduler Software as a service through the G-Cloud 11 Digital Marketplace framework.
