Manchester Digital Agency, e3creative Rebrands to Dept
Leading Manchester digital agency e3creative has rebranded to Dept. e3creative was acquired by the international digital agency in January 2019 and continued to trade under the e3creative brand up until now. The name change demonstrates unity, connecting e3creative to Dept, operating as one agency in 11 counties with a team of over 1300 specialists in technology, data, digital marketing, commerce and beyond.
Managing Director of Dept UK & US, Jasper van de Luijtgaarden, said: “Dept is one of the fastest growing digital agencies in Europe and is on track to becoming one of the leading digital agencies worldwide. Our enterprising growth strategy involves expanding regional services and acquiring exceptional agencies, like e3creative. These new Depsters not only strengthen Dept’s expertise in branding, design, UX and digital marketing, but also enhance our innovative and high-energy agency culture.”
Jake Welsh, the founder of e3creative who will continue to lead his team under the Dept brand, said: “Joining Dept is an exciting evolution of e3creative as a business; we’ve bolstered our capabilities with a complimentary, full service offering, that is already having a positive impact on our team and clients.
“The growth potential tied to being an internationally recognised agency is exciting for our ambitious team. As Dept, we’re opening gateways to partner with innovating brands we’ve always strived to work with on pivotal projects, such as transforming their digital identity.”
Dept was founded in 2016 in the Netherlands and grounded its UK headquarters in Manchester the same year with the acquisition of Building Blocks (founded in 2007).
Dept is a truly integrated digital agency. Its clients benefit from working with a single agency for all of their digital requirements, from strategy to technology development and implementation, UX design to digital marketing, QA to PR. Dept’s key UK clients include Sony PlayStation, O2, Triumph Motorcycles, Formula-e, Bourne Leisure, Karen Millen, Ann Summers and Johnson Matthey.
