Winn Group sponsored Golf Day Raises Over £6,000 for Charity
The Winn Group sponsored charity golf day proved a huge success, with thousands raised for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
Organiser Stewart Bailey spent months arranging the sell-out event, with teams travelling from far and wide to take part in the golf tournament at Slaley Hall.
The end total exceeded £6,000, with money raised through a variety of methods, including our headline sponsorship of the event, as well as hole sponsorships, a hole-in-one competition, raffling of prizes and team entry fees.
“It is an absolutely fabulous charity and it gave me immense pleasure when I decided to have my charity golf day for them this year,” said organiser Stewart Bailey, who has raised in excess of £600,000 for charitable causes.
“They are solely reliant on public donations so every penny I put in the charity pot makes me happy.”
The charity is delighted to receive the support from Stewart, with a GNAAS representative commenting on the positive impact of days like this.
“A lot of hard work has gone into putting on the event for us; it’s going to raise a lot of money for the charity,” she said.
Winn Group Associate Director Michael Warmington said: “We are delighted to see the golf day was a success and raised over £6,000. They are our chosen charity of the year, so we are always keen to get involved in helping GNAAS raise funds for their life-saving service.”
