Numbers adding up for growing accountancy firm

As demand for its services grow, Bournemouth’s Accounting Services for Business (ASfB) is celebrating the promotion of team member Julia Zhu to Chartered Certified Accountant.

ASfB was established in 2002 and provides outsourced accountancy services, including bookkeeping and payroll, for a broad range of clients, from small to medium sized businesses.

The company has recently seen an increase in enquiries from international clients who are looking to trade in the UK and require specialist local support. Current clients are based all over the world including Europe, Asia, America and Canada.

Julia joined ASfB as an assistant accountant in 2017. Whilst completing her ACCA training, she has developed close working relationships with clients. As a newly certified accountant, she will now be able to offer even greater expertise, skills and support for the company’s expanding client portfolio.

Julia said: “I’m delighted to have received my certification. My background includes working within industry and e-commerce for organisations both in the UK and internationally and I’ve also run my own business. So, I understand the challenges and pressures that entrepreneurs face.

“The reason I enjoy working at ASfB so much is that we don’t just crunch the numbers, we work closely with clients to really understand their businesses and how we can best help them to reach their goals.”

Julia’s experience includes accounts preparation, VAT and bookkeeping. This is together with the use of sophisticated software for business intelligence forecasting and reporting to help business owners have a deeper understanding of their finances. Julia also works alongside ASfB’s business development team to support and nurture ambitious clients.

The CCA certification is awarded by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. It is an advanced learning and professional development programme which is recognised and valued worldwide.
