Leading hospitality supplier opens London showroom...
ONE of the leading suppliers to the hospitality and catering industry is taking on the next step with its continued development programme, with the opening of a central London showroom.
The IG Group, which is based at Peterlee, County Durham, is to open at Islington’s prestigious Business Design Centre, where will showcase its many brands, including those which are exclusively available through the company.
For more than 40 years the family-owned business has supplied glassware, cookware, ceramics, crockery, knives and a whole range of other products to a rapidly-expanding customer base.
This includes some of the country’s leading pub chains, restaurants and bars under both its ‘exclusive’ and ‘established’ brands.
The IG Group has a continually growing number of exclusive brands for which it is the sole distributor in the UK, including RAK, Sango, Heritage, Casa Alegre, Minster cutlery and Metropolitan glassware which will be on display in the new showroom from August, alongside its many established brands.
Stephen Hoey, CEO of The IG Group, believes this is perfect timing for the company to grow its presence in the south, following its recent appointment of Shane Cuthbert, an experienced sales manager, to cover that part of the country.
“We are already getting a very positive response from distributors and wholesalers through Shane,” said Stephen.
“And now we will have a central showroom for them to see our products on display in what is a fantastic location.
“This is all part of our long term growth plans to strengthen and consolidate our presence in London and the south.”
