New Premium Digital Screen Lights Up City Centre!

Shoppers at The Moor, Sheffield’s city centre shopping destination has recently benefited from an 8.6 x 5.7metre full motion Premium Digital Screen, owned and installed by outdoor advertising company OPEN Media as part of the areas ongoing regeneration project.

The new, innovative screen is situated above what will be the new H&M store and is not only a first for Sheffield City Centre but OPEN Media too as they expand into the city.

Since the start of the redevelopment, The Moor has seen an increase in footfall to 13 million shoppers in 2019, and this is expected to grow year on year due to the continued rejuvenation of the area.

The new screen will play host to many iconic brands that are wishing to target the crowds visiting the many retail opportunities on offer from The Moor, such as JD Sports.

OPEN Media, an independent media owner based in Liverpool, marked a pivotal point in their 2019 strategy with this site, to add new cities to their growing out of home portfolio.

This move into Sheffield for the company is part of a rollout of digital screens planned nationwide over the remainder of 2019 to support their three-pronged strategy for stadia, retail and city centre locations.

Amanda Phillips, The Moor centre manager says: “We are very excited to be able to offer big brand names the opportunity to advertise to our daily footfall and get in front of Sheffield shoppers right at the heart of the city.

“We are also delighted that the visitors to The Moor will get to see the all the latest fashion trends, sportswear and a multitude of other products and services right at the pulse.”

The Moor is Sheffield’s most popular retail destination, boasting more than just a wide range of high street and independent shops. The Moor is also home to an extensive network of restaurants, a luxury cinema complex and soon a bowling alley too!

OPEN Media will be collaborating with The Moor to encourage brands to capitalise on the many retail and leisure opportunities on offer through the medium of out of home advertising.
