South Tyneside building services firm lands fifth UK office in Leeds

A North East-headquartered building services contractor is expanding its operations in the form of a new office in Leeds.

This takes the total number of regional offices of Castle Building Services Organisation (Castle) to five.

This expansion programme is said to be a direct result of some 18 months which have seen Castle secure circa £70m in contract wins.

While these wins have been secured late 2018 and early 2019, the work load they create falls across the next two financial years and form part Castle’s carefully controlled workload and wider expansion plans.

Castle’s operation director for Yorkshire and the North East, Stephen Gittens, said: “We have had a busy time of late concentrating our efforts on winning work and setting up our new offices in direct response to continued demand from existing clients that we consider to be our key partners, as well as new clients looking to work with us.

“Our model has allowed us to scale up operations while ensuring that there is spare capacity to respond to an increase in the flow of work.

“This is a very exciting time for everyone at Castle as we approach the £45m turnover mark and continue to build trusted local supply chain partners and create employment opportunities at all levels within the company including trainee roles.

“We see Yorkshire very much as a growth region and I look forward to building lasting relationships with clients in this area too.”

The decision to create a permanent base in Leeds has also led to the creation of a further three new roles and it will also create opportunities for site operatives.

The latest faces joining regional director, Stephen Gittens and project managers, Mick Harris and Wasim Zeineddine, are project engineers Jonathan Wadsworth and Andy Haney and Flora Burridge, who has taken up the role of project team assistant.

Castle’s other offices are in South Tyneside, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
