Broudie Jackson Canter supports Pride for the fourth consecutive year
Award-winning North West law firm, Broudie Jackson Canter (BJC), will be supporting the Liverpool City Region Pride festival this weekend for the fourth year since the event launched in 2010.
BJC, which has vast experience in Alternative Family Law, will join festival goers in celebrating Liverpool’s diverse LGBTQ+ community, show solidarity and take a stand against discrimination and intolerance.
The firm is committed to making a positive difference to people’s lives through the practice of law and the BJC team are passionate about the important role the law has to play in delivering justice and equality for the LGBTQ+ community. BJC has supported LGBTQ+ families and offered alternative family law for many years.
BJC will be hosting a stall at Exchange Station during the Pride celebrations on July 27th, offering information on the services they provide, including; Alternative Family Law, LGBT Marriage Rights, Unmarried Couples’ Rights, Wills, Children Matters and much more. The team will be available at the stall throughout the event on Saturday and will also be taking part in the city-wide march.
Director and Head of Family Law at BJC, Haley Farrell, will take part in the event. She said: “We’re honoured to be celebrating Liverpool’s LGBTQ+ community for the fourth consecutive year and to be taking a stand against homophobia and prejudice in all its forms.
“Alternative families often face a minefield of challenges and it can be difficult for them to understand their rights, with many unaware of the legal framework that is in place to support them.
“We are passionate about access to justice and ensuring that the law enables and empowers people from all walks of life. Our stall at Pride will give people the opportunity to have a chat with our brilliant team who will be on hand to discuss what we do as a firm and how we can make a positive difference.”
Esther Leach, Managing Director of BJC, said: “I am absolutely thrilled that we are getting involved in Liverpool Pride again. As a firm we regard inclusivity and celebrating who you as a cornerstone of civilisation. To again be celebrating with the community we serve on this great day is absolutely fantastic!
“It is not simply a question of tolerance, it is a question of actually celebrating who we each are as individuals and this year’s theme ‘come as you are’ completely nails that! There are plenty of our people getting involved, some of whom like Haley Farrell, our Head of Family, have been involved in these celebrations for years!”
