New faces join team as CODA Studios celebrates a year of growth

AWARD winning Sheffield multi-disciplinary practice CODA Studios is celebrating another year of growth with a raft of new appointments.

Amy Hirst joins the team of architects working for specialist projects division CODA Bespoke, with architect and structural engineer Alexis Sanchez and architectural assistant Matt Drummond also strengthening the CODA Studios Sheffield team.

And the company’s Manchester office has welcomed Liam Charnock, Christian Gonzales and Catalina Ionita, all helping to develop CODA’s presence in the North West..

Their arrival comes after the appointment of the recently announced arrival of Rob Crolla as director of CODA Planning.

“The past year has seen a 17 per cent increase in turnover across all area’s of the CODA family,” said CODA Studios Managing Director Matt Bowker.

“We are now firmly established as specialists in the residential sector, not just in the Sheffield City region but nationally and as the sector continues to expand, we believe we are in the best position for growth, which is why we are welcoming these new faces to the team.

“It has helped enormously that CODA Bespoke has had another great year and that one of its projects not only featured on Channel 4’s Grand Designs but has gone on to become a major award winner - a clear demonstration that director Abel Hinchliffe is heading a team at the forefront of design and innovation.”

Matt added that the company’s robust plans for tackling continued uncertainty over Brexit had also created a much stronger platform for strengthening its position.

“In every part of the business, from specially tailored individual projects to major apartment developments, we have demonstrated that this should be a time for confidence in the industry,” Matt said.

“Across all areas of our operations we know we have a team who can, over the coming year, take us on to even greater success.”
