VR performance platform launches crowdfunding campaign
A real-time performance platform has announced the launch of a crowdfunding campaign to build interactive virtual environments for artists and fans.
VRJAM, which allows content creators to share live interactive performances across millions of mobile devices, has launched the campaign aiming to raise £250k
Designed in consultation with Google, VRJAM’s virtual reality technology enables content creators to project live performances into a 3D animated world aiming to create an immersive experience for fans.
As well as music concerts and live events, the platform also aims to cater to business events, remote learning and conferences.
Sam Speaight, CEO and founder of VRJAM, commented: “We’re offering people a unique opportunity to join a community of people who are passionate about future technology.
“It’s an exciting time with the launch of 5G, as more people around the globe will be able to connect and interact in a way unimagined.
Our goal for the next 5 years is to use our immersive technology for good and help change the world for the better. Remote learning is just one example of how this can be achieved.“
