100% occupancy for Sheffield industrial units

CPP completes over 50,000 sq ft lettings in Lower Don Valley

National property consultancy Commercial Property Partners LLP (CPP) has today announced 100% occupancy for three units situated on Stevenson Way in Sheffield.

Acting on behalf of Ackroyd & Abbott, CPP achieved full occupancy for the units - totalling over 53,000 sq ft, and located in Sheffield’s Lower Don Valley, just two miles from J34 of the M1, having previously acquired the unit for them with vacant possession 12 months ago.

All three units have been successfully let on a 10-year lease, with the first unit of 6,272 sq ft being let to car parts supplier Andrew Page; the second unit of 6,343 sq ft being let to railroad contractor Volker Rail; and the final unit of 41,090 sq ft being let to sportswear supplier Kitlocker.

The two smaller units recently underwent refurbishment, and comprise of ground and first floor offices, roller shutter door entrances and secure yard/park; with the larger unit offering similar features, and also boasting the potential to split the unit.

In close proximity to Meadowhall, the units provide excellent staff amenities and public transport links, with Sheffield city centre just 2.3 miles away.

Max Pickering from CPP said: “We are delighted that we have successfully let all three of the industrial units at Stevenson Way. With a strong location in the Steel City, we’re sure that Andrew Page, Volker Rail and Kitlocker will all continue to thrive in their new premises.

“These new lettings are a show of confidence in both Sheffield and Yorkshire for the industrial sector, and we’re confident that the rest of 2019 is set of continue this trend.”

Tom Rusling, Director of Ackroyd & Abbott, added: “It’s a fantastic achievement to see these units become fully occupied in just 12 months of acquiring the property. “The Lower Don Valley area is becoming an increasingly popular area due to its great transport links and its proximately to such significant developments such as Sheffield Hallam’s Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre within the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park.”
