Nottinghamshire-based Gymnastics Academy Expands Amidst ‘Unprecedented Demand’
A popular Nottinghamshire gymnastics workshop has announced the launch of its second site and the creation of 25 new jobs in the area amidst unprecedented demand from new members across the region.
Established in Mansfield in March 2018, by co-founders and Directors Nigel Frankish and Kelly- Marie Westwood, ‘776 Gymnastics’ currently trains 750 students of all ages and abilities - from beginners through to competition standard.
And ahead of the official opening of the second academy site the business had already signed up an additional 250 members who will train at the new Newark site.
Banner Jones’ Mansfield-based commercial property team provided legal advice on the lease of the Malt Park, 8,500 sq ft premises, which is situated close to the A46 and A1.
Co-founder Nigel said: “When we first launched 776 Gymnastics we wanted to establish a community that would provide members of all ages and of all abilities with a creative and comfortable learning environment where they can push themselves and achieve their goals.
“We reached capacity at our first premises in Mansfield within just four months of opening, so before long we were looking for a second site which could accommodate more students.
“After some research we chose Newark because there are no other British Gymnastics affiliated academies - the UK National Governing Body for the sport of Gymnastics - in the local area.
“The demand for the new academy has been unprecedented and we haven’t even officially opened the doors as yet.”
Head coach and co-founder Kelly- Marie Westwood, who has previously competed at an international level, said: “We are very much looking forward welcoming so many new students to the 776 family.”
Hollie Watkins from the Banner Jones Business Legal Services team in Mansfield who provided legal support alongside colleague Matthew Maiden said: “We’re delighted to have supported 776 Gymnastics with the acquisition of a second site.
“Even ahead of the official opening the demand from new members was huge which is testament to the quality of the coaching, and we wish Nigel and Kelly, as well as the wider team, every success as they continue with the growth and expansion of the business.”
