National developer to deliver 460 new Doncaster homes

Government housing agency Homes England has appointed developer Keepmoat Homes to deliver 460 new homes in Doncaster.

The second phase of the development at Carr Lodge will see the creation of a range of homes, including apartments as well as two, three and four bedroom houses.

Doncaster-based Keepmoat Homes will work with modular housing company Ilke to deliver the MMC properties, which will be manufactured at Ilke’s factory in Knaresborough before being transported to Carr Lodge where each home will be put in place.

Ian Hoad, Divisional Chairman at Keepmoat Homes commented: “We’re pleased to be working with our partner Ilke to bring modern methods of construction to our Carr Lodge development.

“The opportunity modern methods such as modular construction brings to the industry is additionality. This will help us meet Government’s challenge of delivering more good quality homes, faster.”

Dan Crew, regional managing director at Keepmoat Homes added: “We have worked closely with Ilke since it was created to shape the house designs to meet the needs of our customers.

“We brought two modular homes to the first phase of our Carr Lodge development and are excited to be bringing a further 202 modular homes to the second phase of this development and to be creating new homes in Doncaster.”
