House of Spells brings the magic to London’s West End

A fantasy fandom collectables retailer has officially opened its debut London store in the West End.

House of Spells has opened its doors at 69-71 Charing Cross Road, part of real estate firm Shaftesbury’s mixed-use development Central Cross.

Taking a 3,500 sq ft unit in the development, the store specialises in books, collectables, gifts and souvenirs from the likes of Harry Potter, Game of Thrones and Fantastic Beasts.

Andrew Price, portfolio executive at Shaftesbury, commented: “We are constantly looking to provide our visitors with unique experiences within Chinatown London; House of Spells is a collectors’ paradise and a must-visit for all fans of the fantasy genre.

“This central London flagship, located next to eSports studio, Wanyoo café, will bring audiences together over their passion for games and fantasy.”

The London store is the company’s latest opening, with 12 stores already operating across the UK.

Sumon Ahmed, general manager for House of Spells, added: “After a number of years trading well across the UK, we are thrilled to finally open our flagship London store.

“Central Cross is perfectly located for us, benefitting from Chinatown London’s footfall and just a stone’s throw away from The Palace Theatre currently showing the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child plays.

“We already feel right at home at this energetic part of London.”
