Istria becomes the latest destination for Solmar Villas
Solmar Villas has announced it has added one of The Adriatic’s unspoilt gems to its growing list of destinations.
The travel specialist will now be selling holidays to ten different villas in Istria, a heart-shaped peninsula in the North West of Croatia that offers up to 250km of coastline with crystal-clear waters, pebble beaches and diverse forests.
Visitors to the region can enjoy lively towns influenced by Venetian rule, whilst families can also take part in lots of exciting activities for children to get them out in the fresh air and active.
All of the villas offered by Solmar have been carefully researched for their facilities, exclusive pools and beautiful locations.
“We have had lots of interest in our properties in Croatia, so it seemed a natural step to identify more destinations nearby,” commented Julie Blake, Managing Director of Solmar Villas.
“Istria has a lot to offer in terms of culture and history, with impressive architecture, cobbled streets and authentic cuisine in the towns and cities, whilst the coastline is home to plenty of small cove beaches – there really is something for everyone.”
She continued: “Our first ten villas sleep between four and ten people and have been handpicked for special features including contemporary design, saunas, games rooms and Jacuzzis.”
Solmar Villas currently offer circa 600 exclusive properties across the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Cyprus, Croatia, Greece, Italy, mainland Spain, Malta, Portugal and Turkey.
The company is planning to increase sales to £25m over the next 12 months, with Istria soon to be joined by Madeira and Tenerife on its list of destinations for 2020.
It has also become the UK’s first villa holiday specialist to offer the option of securing your villa with a low or zero deposit, allowing the customer to spread the cost over 12 months interest-free.
Julie continued: “This is a really exciting destination and we will be launching it with a series of educational blogs, emails and social media activity to help raise awareness of what Istria has to offer.”
2019 will see Solmar Villas continue to expand its growing distribution network, alongside investment in its own reservation system that is geared towards API technologies.
