Pharmaceutical firm behind Savlon to create 40 new jobs
A pharmaceutical company in Huddersfield is set for expansion as it looks to fill 40 new positions at its production site.
Thornton & Ross is set to take on new staff in a range of positions at its production facility in Linthwaite.
A range of positions are being recruited for, including technical operators, team leaders, process workers and scientific roles.
Part of the German-based STADA Group, Thornton & Ross develops, manufactures and supplies branded over-the-counter medicines, dermatological solutions and other healthcare and hygiene products.
The move follows the firm’s acquisitions of dermatology brands such as Savlon and Oliatum from pharmaceutical giant GSK.
Thornton Ross’ vice-president of UK operations, Mark Kirkup, commented: “This is a great time to be joining the business as there are ambitious growth plans in place at Thornton & Ross.
“These are permanent positions at different levels across the company that represent extremely exciting opportunities for the right candidates.”
