'Next-generation' theatre app smashes Seedrs crowdfunding target
A ‘next-generation’ ticketing platform has exceeded its crowdfunding target on Seedrs reaching 103 per cent so far.
Digital guide and booking platform Stagedoor has surpassed its goal of £175k to grow the business and enhance its proposition of a ‘digital home for theatre’.
Founded by a team of theatre and technology professionals, Stagedoor has grown its user base by 400 per cent since 2018, offering guides to productions and booking options to users of its app.
The £175k funding will be used to make improvements to the app as well as implementing the company’s monetisation strategy, and is part of a larger £750k equity fundraise being handled by Lazarus Consulting.
Michael Hadjijoseph, co-founder and CEO of Stagedoor, commented: “It has been a phenomenal 18 months for Stagedoor.
“We can’t wait to begin the next stage of our growth, as we work towards our goal of making theatre accessible to a new generation.”
