Taylor&Emmet applauds apprentices' success
Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet LLP is celebrating the achievements of three rising stars, who have all completed apprenticeships and been offered permanent positions with the firm.
Each of the talented trio has gained an intermediate level apprenticeship in legal administration, certified by the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx).
Following their qualification, Taylor&Emmet has offered Will Hagin, Olivia Middleton and Rachel Walker permanent administrative positions in its family law, personal injury and contentious probate departments respectively.
Louise Hazelwood, Taylor&Emmet’s HR and training assistant, said: “We are very proud of Will, Olivia and Rachel, who all passed their level two apprenticeship with flying colours and have proved to be valuable members of our team. The legal administration course gives those embarking on a career in a solicitors’ firm a chance to put their work into context, combining practical experience with theoretical learning that can be structured around the individual.”
Rachel Walker has chosen to continue her studies and is commencing a level three CILEx course. Taylor&Emmet is also supporting four members of its conveyancing team through apprenticeships, which will see them gain higher level qualifications with both CILEx and the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC). In addition, a further two employees are in the final stages of their education, which will qualify them as a chartered legal executive and licensed conveyancer.
Louise added: “We recognise the value of work-based learning and have supported the legal apprenticeship scheme since its inception six years ago. Nurturing young talent is essential if Taylor&Emmet is to continue to thrive and we welcome those who wish to enter the profession from all backgrounds and by all available routes.”
