Storage startup exceeds investment target with £2.5m funding round
Storage marketplace startup Stashbee has recently closed a £2.5m investment round.
By working with co-founders Anthony Paine and David Mantle - as well as equity crowdfunding platform Seedrs - Harper James Solicitors has helped the startup to surpass its investment goals for 2019.
Set up in 2016, Stashbee has grown to become the UK’s largest marketplace for accessing secure storage space, having signed up 18,500 registered users and hosts since its launch.
This latest funding round surpassed its £1.6m target, instead closing with £2.5m worth of investment sourced through Seedrs.
Stashbee’s recent success also includes annual customer payments now surpassing £1m, and the amount of bookable space exceeding one million sq ft.
Since the completion, Harper James has assisted in processing the new investors within the Enterprise Investment Scheme, and will continue to offer guidance and advice to Stashbee as it prepares for future funding rounds.
Speaking about the news, CEO and founder of Harper James, Toby Harper said: “Supporting startups to help them access the funding they need to grow is one of the things we do best.
“Stashbee has an excellent product and that is reflected in the huge support they received in this investment round.
“We’re delighted to have had a hand in Stashbee’s success and we look forward to continuing to work with them to achieve even more.”
