Leeds gaming startup celebrates 80% growth and expansion plans

Leeds-based gaming company Gamezstation is celebrating six years of trading via a unique event.

Gamezstation was born out of co-founder Scott Deighton’s hobby of gaming and his entrepreneurial mindset, wondering how he could make it easier for parents to organise birthday parties.

Having launched an offer to roll-out the unique party experience for mobile celebrations on a voucher site, the firm achieved record success with KGB Deals, making Gamezstation a successful offer over a two-week period.

Over the past six years, the firm has experienced growth of 80 per cent having partnered with companies including Leeds United football club and local authorities. The business now employs a team of five and has invested in two custom-built gaming vans.

Gamezstation is set to hold its own celebratory event to mark six years in business with a party at Northern Monk, Leeds on September 14.

Co-founder and managing director of Gamezstation, Scott Deighton, said: “The last six years have been incredible. We have launched a successful business from what started out as a hobby.”

Gamezstation has plans to drive business growth further and are looking at securing a Leeds-based site for when the mobile vans are not an option.
