Ex-Emmerdale mill welcomes two new businesses
Two companies have become the latest to sign deals at an ‘iconic’ mill in the heart of Yorkshire.
Just Lovett Design and Enlightened IT Services have taken space at Sunny Banks Mills in Farsley, situated between Leeds and Bradford.
Originally founded in Leeds, Just Lovett Design specialises in the design and manufacture of handmade products that can be branded or personalised.
Commenting on the move, Sami Lovett, managing director of Just Lovett Design, said: “Sunny Bank Mills have a great reputation for providing great spaces for creative businesses in the Leeds and Bradford area.
“This new location is perfect for my business. I am moving the business from my Leeds home to Sunny Bank Mills. This gives me the opportunity to grow the business and I will be running workshops in laser cutting and DIY skills.”
IT support company Enlightened IT Services moved to the new offices after its previous base was turned into a residential property.
Darren Hamblett of Enlightened IT commented: “We have been to Sunny Bank Mills several times as we have existing clients here and always loved the look of it.
“For us, security is of key importance due to the nature of our business. Sunny Bank Mills offers security and protection throughout the night.”
Both firms have taken office space in the recently-refurbished Red Lane Mill at the site, which is now fully let.
The mill, which has featured in ITV’s Emmerdale and Heartbeat, has been transformed into a business complex by property firm Edwin Woodhouse owned by John and William Gaunt.
John Gaunt, joint managing director of Edwin Woodhouse, the owner of Sunny Bank Mills, commented: “The recent lettings emphasize our focus on achieving a really vibrant mix of occupiers at Sunny Bank Mills.
“Sami from Just Lovett Design is full of energy and, through her workshop programme, will bring a new audience of makers to the mill. Enlightened IT have a superb IT skill set which offers a one-stop shop for all business IT issues.
“They are a great asset for our tenants.”
