London's CNH Industrial acquires 'world leader' in precision farming software
London-based CNH Industrial N.V has agreed to acquire farm management information systems (FMIS) provider AgDNA.
This acquisition will enable CNH Industrial’s customers - and those of third party agricultural machinery - to benefit from AgDNA’s single-point data integration, mapping and analytical tools.
Paired with CNH Industrial’s agricultural brands’ fleet management telematics, the combined solution could enable farmers and agribusinesses to consolidate agronomic data stream into a single platform.
Hubertus Mühlhäuser, chief executive officer of CNH Industrial, said: “CNH Industrial is committed to further digitalizing modern agriculture, with the ambition to develop digital and connectivity services to help customers run their farming operations [seamlessly].
“The acquisition of AgDNA, is further evidence of our continuing investment in digital farming.”
This acquisition forms part of CNH Industrial’s vision to extend its farming offering, in line with its commitment to delivering increasing digitalization in agriculture to add value for both customers and shareholders.
