Tug to grow its global presence after being accepted onto the Mayor’s International Business Programme
International digital performance marketing agency Tug has been accepted onto Cohort 14 of the Mayor’s International Business Programme (MIBP), an initiative run by London & Partners offering mentoring, expert advice and real business opportunities for high growth companies interested in expanding overseas.
The agency is one of 75 London companies in the technology, life sciences, urban and creative industries to have been selected for the 12-month programme and recognised as having huge potential for growth internationally.
As a cohort member, Tug can now leverage several high-profile opportunities to learn and network, as well as access some of the UK’s most successful entrepreneurs and business leaders for their support and advice. It can also participate in monthly workshops to meet like-minded peers and navigate the nuances of doing business in overseas markets.
A highlight of the MIBP is the opportunity to take part in targeted trade missions overseas under the banner of the Mayor of London, providing businesses with the opportunity to evaluate different markets first-hand and make personal contacts.
Nick Beck, CEO and founder of Tug, said: “With a global footprint in four markets and live client campaigns in more than 40 markets, it is a natural progression for Tug to step up our international presence with the MIBP. It is a high-profile initiative that is fully aligned with our ambitions of global expansion.
“We are proud to be part of a programme that will open doors internationally and support us in flexing our services with the Tug Team resource network in areas such as local language, market location and platform expertise – shaping the perfect team for the client requirement. We look forward to working with the MIBP to show how this London agency can help grow foreign brands across Europe and the world,” Beck concluded.
Amrit Kang, Trade Manager (Creative Industries) at London & Partners, said: “As one of the fastest growing London agencies in the sector, we give Tug a warm welcome to the programme. To date, the MIBP has helped more than 600 high-growth London companies to win business in international markets and we are proud to help shine a light on what innovative London businesses have to offer overseas.”
Tug will have its first opportunity to meet fellow cohort members, programme partners and mentors at the MIBP Cohort 14 Launch event on Friday 13 September 2019. Part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the MIBP is supported by five lead partners: Collinson, KPMG, Lloyd’s Banking Group, Taylor Wessing and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
