Martin-Brooks swings into action for local charities
Sheffield roofing specialists, Martin-Brooks, are teeing up colleagues from across the construction industry to join them for their annual charity golf day.
Now in its ninth year, the tournament brings together staff, friends and professional partners to raise money for six small local charities the firm supports.
Martin-Brooks’ 18-hole Stableford competition will be held at Renishaw Park Golf Club in North Derbyshire on Friday September 20 and around 10 four ball teams are expected to take part. The event will also include breakfast on arrival, a two course post-round meal and prize presentation.
Dale Wright, Martin-Brooks’ contracts director and organiser of the golf day, said: “A decade has passed since we began raising money for our chosen charities and this event has proved enduringly popular during that time. It is now a regular fixture in our calendar and has garnered a groundswell of support from fellow golfers who play year on year. We are looking forward to seeing all of our ‘regulars’ again next week, along with a number of new players who will be swelling our ranks.”
Martin-Brooks has raised more than £25,000 for local charities and the firm continues to support the organisations with whom it has forged close links. They include, Amy’s Retreat, Catcliffe MS Therapy Centre, Cavendish Cancer Care, Sheffield Talking News, St Vincent’s Furniture Scheme and The Rowan School.
