Miller Homes reveals 'first of its kind' app for budding homebuyers
Miller Homes has launched an app for its homebuyers.
Believed to be the first of its kind from a national homebuilder, ‘My Miller Home’ is the latest in a series of initiatives by the company to provide an ‘enhanced’ offering for its customers using digital tech.
The app allows customers who have reserved a plot to access information about their homebuying journey from their smartphone or tablet. This includes updates on the build progress of their home, meeting information and copies of customer signed documentation, purchased options, demonstration videos and floorplans.
Anne Marie Britton, group sales and marketing director at Miller Homes, said: “We are committed to putting our customers at the heart of everything we do and we recognise the value technology can bring to that.
“Buying a home is a significant lifetime purchase and we are delighted to launch an app that helps our customers feel even more involved in this exciting milestone in their lives.
“With a host of features, the app brings together all the information they need in one convenient place, helping them stay close to the creation of their home as it progresses.”
The launch of the app follows on from the success of Miller Homes’ online reservation system. In September 2017, Miller Homes became the first homebuilder to enable customers to reserve and pay a deposit on their home via its website.
Since this came to fruition, over 540 customers have taken the opportunity to do the same. An app has also been created for site managers to reduce the burden of paperwork and QR codes.
Graeme Stirling, group IT director at Miller Homes, added: “We are extremely proud of the innovations we have rolled out in the last few years, all of which have been developed around the needs of today’s buyers and designed to complement each other to enhance the overall experience of buying a brand new Miller home.”
The new app is available on iOS and Android devices.
