No5 barrister appointed as a Midlands Recorder
No5 Barrister’s Chambers is delighted to announce that Esther Gamble has been appointed by the Queen as Recorder, on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP, and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, The Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. Esther has been deployed to sit on the Midland Circuit dealing with civil matters and expects to sit for 6 weeks each year. Esther will continue to practise as a barrister in her specialist fields of clinical negligence and serious injury work when not sitting as a Recorder. CEO and Director of Clerking Tony McDaid said: “We are delighted that Esther has been appointed. She is an outstanding talent and has skills that have made her ideally suited to sitting, where she will bring her experience from her 18 years at the Bar in both serious injury and clinical negligence work.”
