Gosforth care group celebrates expansion and further facilities for local residents

A local senior care company has expanded with a new relocation.

Gosforth-based Home Instead recently acquired new and larger premises at Lansdowne Terrace to accommodate its expanding office-based team, which now includes 70 team members including care givers and support team.

The firm was supported by Emmersons Solicitors during the purchase. The company offers care visits for those people who need home help and companionship service.

Home Instead also provide services such as personal care, dementia care, palliative care and respite care.

Andrew Fullerton set up the company with his wife Cath, who spent many years as a nurse. He said: “Our priority is the welfare of our clients, whether that be supporting them with cooking and cleaning, taking care of people who are in the final stage of life or simply companionship.

“We also match the personalities of our carefully chosen care givers to our clients to ensure a good match.”

He added: “We’re delighted to have expanded and taken new space at Lansdowne Terrace. The new office will help us to continue to grow the business, providing room for further recruitment and training areas for our team and the wider community.

“We couldn’t have completed the move without the support of Emmersons Solicitors and Lee Gilder, who supported us throughout every stage of the process.

“We are also part of the Gosforth Dementia Alliance alongside local businesses, including Emmersons Solicitors. The group’s aim is to make a difference to the local community by making it a better place for everyone – especially those with the symptoms of dementia.”
