Artisan drinks specialist and Harvey Nichols favourite set for growth with inward investment

A Yorkshire-based artisan drinks producer has invested in its production facilities as part of its ongoing growth.

Family business Raisthorpe Distillery, part of Raisthorpe Manor Fine Foods, has boosted its production capabilities with the installation of a new still at its base on the Yorkshire Wolds.

Founded in 2008 by Julia Medforth, Raisthorpe Distillery specialises in blending natural botanicals and local water to produce a range of gin liqueurs, vodkas and dry gin.

Julia and her son Oliver run the company, overseeing the production and sale of its drinks range to independent retailers, farm shops and delis across the country.

The installation of the new still builds on the firm’s ongoing growth, having secured deals to stock two of its liqueurs in the cocktail bars of retailer Harvey Nichols.

Commenting on the inward investment, Raisthorpe Distillery founder Julia said: “Installing the new still represents a major investment for us at a time when our business has achieved successful growth and continues to aim high.

“We take great pride in our products and always look to innovate and create new ones which will appeal to consumers as the artisan drinks market continues to grow.”
