Herbert Retail in New Technology Collaboration
Partnership to Enhance UK Retail Productivity and Customer Engagement
Cambridge-based technology integrator Herbert Retail, and Bilbao-based weighing and labelling manufacturer Dibal, are working in partnership to create and offer technology solutions that drive end-to-end retail productivity and in-store customer experience. The companies are collaborating to supply innovative weighing, printing, labelling and queue busting technology platforms.
For example, in-store weighing scales might double up as POS terminals, accepting contactless payments and reducing waiting times, while improving the customer experience.
With retail demands driving enhanced in-store technology, this partnership will add value to retailers, providing productivity gains and reducing total cost of ownership. The partnership will focus on software and hardware elements at store level, supply chain and final-mile technology, ensuring an end-to-end approach in helping retailers achieve more from their operations.
“We were looking for a partner who could realise greater value for our extensive range of retail clients in terms of both in-store engagement and productivity”, said Mark Channen, Sales & Marketing Director at Herbert. “The Dibal team is very forward thinking and technically capable, with a proven track record of nearly 43,000 hardware implementations. Working together, we believe that we have developed a solid and future proof range that does this.”
Juan Román, General Manager at Dibal at Dibal added: “This is an exciting time for us, Herbert provides sales, project management, service and support for many forward thinking UK retailers. Our partnership will ensure that collectively we can help UK retailers improve their efficiency and brand value.”
Mr. Richard Herbert, Executive Chairman at Herbert Group, and Mr. Juan Román are both members of the CECIP Board - the European Weighing Industry Association, which works for common and harmonised standards to be adopted at European and International levels to provide safety and quality to both consumers and users of weighing instruments.
